The Terumo digital clinical thermometer allows quick and accurate measurement and can be used in two ways:

• Predictive measurement: The body temperature is calculated by the microprocessor based on the temperature detected by the sensor and statistical temperature data obtained from numerous measurements.
• Direct measurement: After the first beep, the thermometer automatically switches to direct reading mode. In this mode, the sensor directly records the temperature, similar to a standard (mercury) thermometer. The sensor measures the actual temperature in this mode.
